Peter Chan 

Managing Partner. Peter is the founder and Managing Partner of Crest Capital Asia, a regional private equity practice investing in mid-cap enterprises in Singapore, Australia and Indonesia specializing in designing and customizing alternative direct investment programmes for regional family office clients and managing the assets under these programmes.

Peter started his private equity career in 1987 with one of the earliest US private equity firms in Asia. He then joined a division of ING Barings Asia Private Equity as Managing Director in 1996 to start its investment programme in Asia and setting up offices in Singapore, Indonesia, India, China, Taiwan and South Korea. He then acquired the platform to set up Crest Capital Asia in 2004 when ING pulled out of the business. Peter is responsible for the general management of the funds under management, conceptualizing and innovating new fund strategies as well as investor communication.

Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) Degree from the National University of Singapore and is a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants as well as the Certified Public Accountants of Australia. He is board member of Clarity, a not-for-profit organization which mission is to provide healing and support for people with mental conditions to help them regain self-confidence, re-discover their abilities and beauty in life.

Glendon Tan

Investment Director. Glendon has over 26 years of experience in banking and finance and 6 years of private equity experience. He was with a number of major local and international banks managing the SME and Corporate Banking business. He has wide regional experience with major corporations and financial institutions. He also has business operating experience from his appointment as Assistant Managing Director in a successful fishery business in Singapore.

Glendon is responsible for investment origination and managing day-to-day functions of the fund. With his extensive experience, Glendon supports by adding value to investees, implementing and improving business processes, and assists SMEs in their financial and management control. Prior to joining the Fund, he was a Senior Manager in a European Bank handling its Local SMEs acquisitions program and managing its Russian exposure. Glendon graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Economics and Chemistry) from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Diploma in Investment Analysis from Singapore Exchange. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Chinese dialects.

Matthew Goh

Investment Director. Investment Director. Matthew has over 27 years of experience of investment banking and private equity. He was the founder and Managing Director of PT Makinta Securities in Indonesia where he managed and led capital market exercises such as IPOs, M&As for Indonesian corporations over the last 20 years before he divested the company. Prior to setting up PT Makinta Securities, Matthew also worked in various organizations including both in the Dharmala Group and Kokusai Securities Singapore currently name MUFG Securities where he developed the capital market business and managed/advised clients in global capital markets.

Katherine Ang

Chief Operating Officer. Katherine has two sets of operating responsibilities: first, in managing the investment team and resources to deal with new transaction processing as well as portfolio monitoring; and, second, supervising the transactional and portfolio management activities to ensure ongoing compliance to the firm’s standard operating procedures.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a senior accountant in a local listed company where she was responsible for the preparation and reviewing of consolidation results for the operations in the United Kingdom. She started her career with KPMG Singapore where she gained experience in the external audits of multinationals and Singapore listed companies. Katherine graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Nanyang Technological University.

Yeong Wai Kuin

Finance & Compliance Manager. Wai Kuin is responsible for reporting and management of the Fund’s financial affairs, statutory compliance and administrative duties. She oversees the Fund’s investment portfolio for compliance and internal control, investor and statutory reporting as well as liaising with internal and statutory auditors. She has 12 years of related working experience, specializing in management and financial accounting/audit for companies in various industries such as financial, manufacturing and retail. Previously, she was the Group Internal Auditor for a local listed company responsible for overseeing the internal operating controls, processes and practices including compliance to regulatory requirements. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Monash University, Australia Campus. She is also a professional member of CPA Australia. Wai Kuin is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu and other major Chinese dialect.

Jasmine Yeoh

Compliance Officer. Jasmine is responsible for overseeing portfolio administration to ensure the firm's regulatory compliance processes, standard operating procedures as well as investment monitoring programme are adhered. She is also the liaison person with the various funds’ statutory auditors and the fund management company’s internal/compliance auditor. Prior to that, she was an audit assistant manager in EY Singapore where she had more than 5 years of experience auditing asset management firms and Singapore listed companies where she gained experience in compliance and governance regulatory frameworks, for instance, under the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Exchange.

Jasmine graduated with a Master of Science (Accountancy & Finance) from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. She is also a professional member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Wong Mei Shan

Investment Analyst. Mei Shan carries out investment analysis, financial modeling, project research and feasibility studies, legal documentation, investee and portfolio performance monitoring. Prior to that, she was a senior associate in PwC Singapore where she had more than 3 years of experience auditing government agencies, multinationals and Singapore listed companies. Mei Shan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from University of New South Wales.

Lai Sheau Yun

Investment Analyst. Sheau Yun carries out investment analysis, financial modeling, project research and feasibility studies, legal documentation, investee and portfolio performance monitoring. Prior to that, she was a senior associate in EY Singapore where she had 3 years of experience auditing financial institutions, asset management firms and Singapore listed companies. She also had experience in fund accounting in Citibank where she was responsible for the preparation of the Net Asset Valuation and unit pricing of investment funds. Sheau Yun graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting and Finance awarded by University of London from SIM Global Education.

Evelyn Ordinario

Internal Control Officer. Evelyn supports the internal control functions in investee monitoring through tracking key performance indicators, investee cash control and special assignments to the accounting departments of portfolio companies. She has 15 years of regional accounting, finance and administrative experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (major in accounting) from the Philippines School of Business Administration, Philippines. Evelyn is a Filipino and a Singapore Permanent Resident. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.

Soon Chin Yang

Head GIP Documentation. Chin Yang is responsible for marketing the Fund, conducting detailed presentations to prospective investors, managing documentation issues and the GIP application process with the EDB. Before joining Crest Capital, Chin Yang was previously the Regional Director, Singapore Economic Development Board (East China) and was based in Shanghai from September 2002 to September 2007. He was responsible for setting up EDB's office in Shanghai. By leveraging on Singapore's platform, he assisted Chinese enterprises in "Going Out" and connected them to international markets, financing, partnerships, business development, etc.

Chin Yang was with EDB for more than 13 years, and has experience with Suzhou Industrial Park, Singapore's electronics cluster and EDB San Francisco office. He graduated from Imperial College (Master in Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering).

Soh Poh Cheng

Documentation Officer. The Documentation Officers are staff dedicated to assisting investors who are applying for permanent residence under the Singapore GIP. They are responsible for managing the flow of Singapore permanent residence application process starting from online submission, and continuing with documentation up to completion with immigration processes.


Indra Widjaja

Investment Committee Chairman, based in Indonesia, Pak Indra is a veteran business entrepreneur and besides being a key member of the Sinarmas Group of companies, he is also the founder and Commissioner of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk, the holding company of all the Group's financial institutions and is the head of its Financial Division's investment committee. The financial institutions here include Sinarmas Bank, Sinarmas Sekuritas, insurance companies, investment funds, etc. He oversees the strategic management of all these businesses. Pak Indra He graduated in Business Administration from the then NanYang University of Singapore and is fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin.

Fuganto Widjaja

Investment Committee Representative. Based in Jakarta – Indonesia, Fuganto's responsibilities include originating investment projects particularly in resource-based, distressed assets and turnaround deals, planning and conducting due diligence exercises, as well as monitoring investee performance post-investment. Fuganto started his career as Research Analyst with UBS Investment Bank in Singapore in 2003 focusing on High Yield/Distressed Debts. He then moved to PT Super Wahana Techno in Indonesia in 2005 as its President Director where he was responsible for creating and managing a biotech company, specializing in the manufacture and distribution of high-tech water-based products. He is, at present, the Deputy CEO of Sinarmas Energy and Mining in Indonesia. This group is one of the world-largest natural resources based company with operation across the Indonesian archipelagos.

Fuganto graduated with a BA in Computer Science & Economics (Full Distinction) from Cornell University USA. He also obtained an MPhil in Finance from Cambridge University (UK). He is proficient in English, Indonesian and fluent in Mandarin and Malay language.
